Arts Alive! Summer Show Camp 2024
(WEEK ONE)
Campers will have the opportunity to rehearse a student musical theater production throughout the week, culminating with a performance for family and friends. They will develop skills in musical theater basics including acting, singing, and dancing. They will be immersed in the creative process as they bring their characters to life. The camp week will also include theater games and opportunities to form new friendships. Campers will benefit from the wealth of theater experiences that camp staff bring to the week.
Ages 7 - 13
Dates: July 15 - 20, 2024
Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Performance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20

Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Performance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17
Arts Alive! Summer Arts Camp 2024
Self-expression and creativity are key at this unique summer camp. A truly process-driven experience where children are encouraged to explore the arts. This year the camp will feature activities including theater, dance, material art and more! Guest instructors will be in and out all week sharing new activities and skills with the children. Plus, this camp always features a nature walk at the Marietta river trail along the Susquehanna River. At the end of the week, camp activities are presented in a showcase, featuring both a performance and a gallery presentation.
Ages 7 - 13
Dates: June 24 - 28, 2024
Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with an extended Friday for extra practice and a pizza dinner. Showcase will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday evening.
Learn to Sew | Beginner
Learn to sew a tote bag! We will learn to cut and sew a simple tote bag.
Things To Bring: Sewing machine (if you have one), 1/2 yard to 1 yard of heavy material (examples- canvas, denim, twill, outdoor material),thread, scissors, pins. Other than material and thread, other tools will be available for use during class if you cannot provide them.
Ages: 12+

Time: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A free staged reading series exploring contemporary voices and stories of our community. Readings begin at 8 PM and conclude with the Q&A session.

Doctor Voynich

Doctor Rue Voynich and her apprentice Fade travel the American Heartland dispensing herbal medications. Covertly, they perform abortions, which have been illegal since the days of the first woman president, Ivanka Trump. Fade tries to help local youth Hannah complete her abortion, using knowledge from an ancient manuscript, before her mother and the sheriff can nail them for the “attempted murder of an unborn person.”
This post-Roe v. Wade play about mothers and daughters is poetic, sexy, vulgar, queer, and a little too real.
